EYFS Admin Support (Temporary, Part-Time)

Location: London
Hours: 3 days per week
Contract: Ongoing temporary assignment

We are currently recruiting for an experienced EYFS Admin Support professional to join a friendly and busy early years setting on an ongoing temporary basis. This is a part-time role, working 3 days per week, ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and school-based experience.

Key Responsibilities

General Administration

  • Meeting and greeting parents, visitors, and contractors in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Providing daily front-of-house support, including telephone and door duties
  • Managing visitor sign-in procedures and badge compliance
  • Handling sickness reporting in line with setting procedures
  • Maintaining accurate administrative systems, records, and folders
  • Ordering stationery, Health & Safety items, and managing food deliveries
  • Supporting staff with general administrative tasks
  • Maintaining shared admin spaces to a high standard

Health & Safety & Compliance

  • Updating accident and incident logs accurately and promptly
  • Ensuring all Health & Safety documentation is completed and filed correctly
  • Monitoring records and escalating concerns or patterns to senior staff

Fire Safety

  • Maintaining the fire logbook
  • Recording weekly fire alarm tests
  • Checking fire exits, signage, and routes are clear and compliant

COSHH & Site Checks

  • Ensuring COSHH documentation is complete and up to date
  • Completing weekly site walk-rounds and checklists
  • Identifying, recording, and reporting hazards or maintenance issues
  • Monitoring site security and general wear and tear

Maintenance & Cleaning Liaison

  • Raising and chasing repairs
  • Liaising with contractors and checking compliance
  • Reporting cleaning or hygiene issues promptly
  • Ensuring toilet and handwashing supplies are well stocked

Safeguarding-Adjacent Administration

  • Monitoring visitor logs and site security procedures
  • Flagging any safeguarding or security concerns immediately to senior leadership

Reporting & Communication

  • Providing brief weekly updates to the line manager on incidents, site issues, repairs, and supplies
  • Attending and minuting meetings where required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous admin experience within a school or early years setting
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Confident working independently in a busy environment
  • Professional, approachable, and reliable
