Senior Project Co-ordinator

National Trust

Summary

Come and join the team at Moseley Road Baths. We're looking for a Senior Project Coordinator to support in the delivery of Diving In, an external £35m partnership project to restore a Grade II* Listed Edwardian Swimming Baths in the heart of Birmingham.

What it's like to work here

Alongside 5 external partners, the National Trust is delivering a two phased capital restoration and engagement project centred around swimming, health and wellbeing. This is a unique opportunity to be at the centre of it all, with the first phase of construction works currently taking place and the second phase to commence very soon. You'll be working alongside consultants, designers, local government officers, trustees, creatives and that’s just to name a few. You'll embody the values of the organisation while creating harmony with many stakeholders at the table who you will come to see as colleagues. You'll be joining a fast paced, complex and innovative project environment where you'll be able to bring your own flare to the way we work together.

You'll sit within the newly formed East Birmingham, Coventry and Solihull Portfolio, at the forefront of the organisations work in looking outward and celebrating urban nature, beauty and history.

What you'll be doing

As a member of the Senior Project Leadership Team, you'll ensure the administration side of the project is coordinated through a dedicated Project Management Office. This is a wide ranging role, where coordinating finances, scheduling meetings, and climbing a scaffold are all part of a normal week.

The project has entered into the construction phase and on site, you'll be regularly liaising with contractors, helping to organise and deliver public/VIP site tours, as well as checking in with the neighbours. Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll regularly support them and the Project Director in delivering the day-to-day work of the project; on occasion deputising for both roles where appropriate. You'll have a keen eye for detail, showcasing your organisation and communication skills, whether telling the story of the project through creating exciting content for multiple audiences or forensically interrogating financial data for our grant funders.

Who we're looking for

We’d love to hear from you if you’re:

  • practically experienced in project management processes, administration and systems, including procurement, finance and reporting
  • good at working with all kinds of people and organisations, able to build and sustain strong working relationships
  • familiar with budgeting and able to collate, maintain, analyse and prepare data for reports
  • used to conducting research or analysing evidence (including past findings, market research and understanding audiences) to support decisions
  • comfortable with Microsoft packages, especially Excel, and other systems such as financial and visitor analytics
  • skilled at multi-tasking, prioritising your workload and meeting targets through your thorough and detailed approach to work
  • confident with managing diaries and organising practicalities for face-to-face meetings
