About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join a busy and dynamic family office based in Harborne. This is a varied role offering exposure to a broad range of financial activities.
You will provide comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting support to the Finance Director/Finance Manager, while also assisting with administrative duties across the family office.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain cash books and supporting financial documentation
Process payments, invoices, income, and receipts, ensuring accurate data entry into accounting systems
Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Prepare supplier payment runs and monitor bank account balances
Accurately record and analyse expenses
Identify and flag inconsistencies to support accurate financial reporting
Maintain supporting spreadsheets and assist with ad hoc reporting
Provide support with financial analysis as required
Assist with the monthly payroll process
Undertake additional administrative and finance-related duties as needed
About You
Previous experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Good working knowledge of accounting software and Excel
Organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
A proactive and flexible approach to work
