Robert Half Finance & Accounting are supporting a business who are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a fixed term contract basis for 9 months. This opportunity has the potential to be extended and can either be based in Plymouth or Exeter.

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 12 months, with potential of extension

Location: Plymouth or Exeter

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000

Working hours: 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, 1 hour lunch break

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining the accounts payable ledger
• Maintaining the accounts receivable ledger
• Bank reconciliations
• Assisting with month end - accruals, prepayments
• Assisting with client reporting
• Liaising and resolving client queries
• Self-assessment tax returns
• Assisting with ad hoc finance tasks to assist the wider business

Desired experience/background:

• Proven experience in a similar varied position
• Initiative to work in both individually and in a team environment
• High attention to detail
• Excellent communication
• Computer literate
• Experience using Xero - Desirable
• Studied or currently studying AAT - Desirable
