Class 1 HGV Commercial Driver

We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Driver to join our team. This role involves day driving across the UK, delivering and collecting containers and curtainsider trailers. The ideal candidate will ensure best practices for maximum efficiency and maintain a suitable working environment for all activities.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Day driving nationally across the UK.
• Working hours are Monday to Friday, 50 hours per week between 04:00 and 22:00, with occasional overnight stays. Overtime available as and when required.
• Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided, including uniform, high-visibility clothing, and safety boots.
• Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude towards customers at all times.
• Basic conversational English required to effectively communicate and understand job requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year's HGV driving experience in the UK.
• Good knowledge of UK geography.
• Ability to work accurately with great attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Manual handling skills.
• A practical, flexible, and innovative approach to work.
• Full valid Driver’s Licence with Category C&E (CLASS 1) – preferably a clean license.
• Digital Tachograph, Drivers Qualification Card (DQC), and Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) Qualification.
