General Manager, Central London, Hybrid, £45,000 – £50,000, Full-time, 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Val Wade Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with an ambitious and fast-growing production company to recruit an experienced General Manager to support the delivery of a high-profile slate of theatre and live entertainment productions across the UK and internationally.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected creative organisation during a significant period of expansion, working across major productions, development projects and international collaborations spanning the West End, Broadway and beyond.

The successful candidate will play a central role in overseeing productions from development through to delivery, working closely with senior leadership, creative teams, venues and production partners within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

The Role

This is a broad and hands-on General Management role combining production oversight, operational coordination, team leadership and stakeholder management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing production planning, schedules and delivery across multiple projects
  • Managing contracts, logistics, rehearsals and production administration
  • Coordinating with creatives, venues, producers and external stakeholders
  • Supporting budgeting, expenses and financial tracking
  • Leading on scheduling, company management and operational processes
  • Assisting with press nights, events and artist liaison
  • Supporting compliance, licensing and right-to-work documentation
  • Line managing and supporting junior team members

About You

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised General Manager who thrives in busy production environments and enjoys balancing creative collaboration with operational delivery.

You will have:

  • Significant experience within theatre, live events or producing environments
  • Strong production management and scheduling experience
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts and production logistics
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive, flexible and solutions-focused approach
  • Strong IT skills across Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

Experience working on West End, Broadway or international touring productions would be highly advantageous.
