About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service, including assisting Russian/ Romanian-speaking customers, understanding their needs, and recommending suitable services such as pawnbroking loans, gold purchase, gold retail, and foreign exchange (FX).
  • Accurately assess and value gold items, ensuring fair and market-aligned valuations.
  • Handle point-of-sale transactions, including loans, redemptions, retail sales, gold purchases, and FX transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Clearly explain company services (consumer credit, gold retail, FX) to customers, ensuring full understanding.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing branch environment, including gold retail displays.
  • Follow company procedures and ensure compliance with internal processes and service standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions in line with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in stock control, daily checks, and branch security procedures.
  • Support team members and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Assist in achieving branch sales and service targets.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Fluency in Russian/Romanian and English is essential.
  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, cash handling, or financial services is preferred.
  • Strong numerical skills and high attention to detail, particularly when handling cash and FX transactions.
  • Willingness to learn gold valuation and pawnbroking processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Honest, reliable, and capable of handling customer valuables and company funds responsibly.
