The Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving growth by developing both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-individual (B2C) relationships.

The role focuses on expanding commercial partnerships, increasing service uptake, and promoting replacement vehicle solutions to individual non-fault accident customers, ensuring sustainable growth across all channels.


Key Responsibilities

Business-to-Business (B2B) Development

  • Identify and secure new commercial partnerships with:
  • Accident management companies
  • Solicitors and legal practices handling non-fault motor claims
  • Vehicle recovery, repair, and automotive service providers
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing business partners
  • Promote additional services and increase utilisation of replacement vehicle solutions
  • Negotiate commercial terms and service agreements in line with company policy
  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and proposals

Business-to-Individual (B2C) Development

  • Promote replacement vehicle and associated services directly to non-fault accident claimants
  • Explain service features, short-term credit arrangements (up to 89 days), and contractual terms in a clear and transparent manner
  • Build trust and confidence with individual customers to maximise service adoption
  • Support customer conversion from initial enquiry through to service agreement

General Responsibilities

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity within the credit hire and accident management sector
  • Maintain accurate sales records, pipelines, and performance reports
  • Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
  • Ensure all commercial activity aligns with contractual terms, company policies, and ethical selling standards


Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management
  • Ability to operate effectively in both B2B and B2C sales environments
  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple leads, clients, and commercial relationships

Desirable

  • Experience within:
  • Credit hire
  • Accident management
  • Motor claims or automotive services
  • Understanding of non-fault accident replacement vehicle processes
  • Degree or qualification in business, marketing, management, or a related discipline
