Robert Half is supporting a well-established and growing organisation in Edinburgh with the appointment of a Management Accountant to join its finance team.

This is a broad and commercially focused role, offering exposure across financial reporting, business partnering, and operational finance within a dynamic environment.

The Role

Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in delivering timely financial insight, supporting decision-making, and maintaining strong financial control across the business.

You'll work closely with stakeholders across operations and supply chain, contributing to both day-to-day finance activities and ongoing business improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L analysis and commentary
  • Deliver insightful financial reporting and analysis to support business performance
  • Partner with operational teams to understand key drivers and provide financial guidance
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and longer-term planning processes
  • Contribute to balance sheet reconciliations and ensure strong financial controls
  • Support audit processes and ensure compliance with internal policies
  • Provide analysis on margins, costs, and operational performance where required
  • Assist with inventory-related reporting and ensure accurate financial representation
  • Develop and enhance reporting tools, metrics, and dashboards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance and the wider business
About You
  • Qualified, part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent)
  • Experience in a management accounting or commercial finance role
  • Exposure to working in a complex or operational environment (e.g. manufacturing, supply chain, or similar)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate financial information clearly
  • Confident working with stakeholders across the business
  • Proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset
