The Opportunity

A well-established and growing automotive group is seeking a Dealership Accountant to join one of its key sites. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a high-performing finance team, where you will play a vital role in supporting operational and financial performance.

Working closely with senior leadership, including the Group Accountant and General Manager, you will be responsible for producing accurate and insightful monthly management accounts while contributing to the ongoing success of the dealership.

Role Responsibilities

As Dealership Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Producing monthly management accounts and reports, providing clear insight into sales and aftersales performance
  • Managing and developing a small finance team, ensuring high standards and continuous improvement
  • Completing key tasks including month-end processes, manufacturer composites, and VAT returns
  • Supporting the monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met
  • Reviewing and improving existing processes and procedures to drive efficiency
  • Working closely with operational teams to support commercial decision-making

About You

We are looking for a motivated and commercially aware individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

You will ideally have:

  • A minimum of 18 months’ experience as a Dealership Accountant within the motor trade
  • Be qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience (QBE)
  • Experience using Kerridge (Rev 8), ADP Accounts, or CDK Autoline
  • A commercial mindset with the confidence to challenge and improve processes
  • A hands-on approach, willing to be involved in the day-to-day running of the finance function
