Finance and Office Administrator

Headstar

There are "entry-level" finance jobs… And then there are roles where you actually learn something.

This is the second one.

This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their finance career who wants proper exposure, real responsibility, and a business willing to invest in their development.

You'll be joining a supportive finance team where you'll learn the fundamentals properly while also becoming a key part of keeping the office running day to day.

No two days will look the same here, one minute you could be supporting month-end processes, the next handling payments, coordinating office operations, or helping senior stakeholders keep things moving behind the scenes.

If you're organised, proactive, switched on, and happy to roll your sleeves up, you'll do very well here.

What you'll be doing:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors and clients
  • Managing calls, inboxes, post, deliveries, and general office coordination
  • Keeping the office organised, professional, and running smoothly
  • Liaising with suppliers, facilities providers, and building management
  • Managing office supplies, records, and compliance documentation
  • Processing invoices and supporting day-to-day finance administration
  • Assisting with journals, reconciliations, and cost tracking
  • Supporting accounts receivable and payment processing
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and spreadsheets
  • Getting exposure to wider finance processes including reporting and audit support
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects

What they're looking for:

You don't need loads of finance experience, what matters most is attitude.

They're looking for someone who:

  • Is highly organised and reliable
  • Has strong attention to detail
  • Is confident communicating with different people
  • Takes ownership and gets things done
  • Is happy helping with both office support and finance tasks
  • Wants to build a long-term career in finance
  • Has a "no task too small" mentality
  • Is comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook

What's in it for you?

  • An annual salary of up to £29k (depending on experience)
  • Full study support (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
  • Clear progression opportunities within finance
  • 31 days holiday (including bank holidays)
  • Pension and life assurance

Why should you apply?

A lot of "entry-level finance" jobs keep people doing the same admin for years, this one won't. You'll get genuine exposure, structured support, and the chance to build a long-term finance career inside a large, established international business.

Perfect for someone who wants to learn properly, work hard, and progress.
