CNC Machinist
Location: Andover
Shift Pattern: Day shift (Monday-Friday, standard daytime hours)

Our client, based in Andover, is currently seeking experienced CNC Machinists to join their growing engineering and manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established and busy precision engineering environment.
The successful candidates will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components to engineering specifications, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and consistency throughout the manufacturing process.
We are open to candidates from a wide range of CNC backgrounds, including operators, setters, programmers, and trainee machinists with relevant engineering exposure.
Key Responsibilities
Setting and operating CNC machinery
Manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances
Working from technical and engineering drawings
Carrying out quality inspections using measuring equipment
Performing tool changes, offsets, and basic machine adjustments
Ensuring all work meets required quality standards
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Meeting production targets and deadlines
Supporting continuous improvement within the machining department
Skills & Experience
Candidates with experience in any of the following CNC machining areas are encouraged to apply:
CNC Turning
CNC Milling
CNC Setting
CNC Operating
CNC Programming
Setter/Operator and Setter/Operator/Programmer roles
3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis machining
Experience with Doosan machines
Fanuc controls
Heidenhain controls
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Use of measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, callipers, etc.)
Precision engineering or general manufacturing backgrounds
Both experienced CNC Machinists and trainee/junior candidates with a strong interest in engineering will be considered.
