SERVICE SALES ENGINEER – Electrical/Electronics Industry

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30 to 17:00 and 8:30 to 14:00 on Friday

After training the job will be a hybrid of homeworking and Fareham Office

Location: Fareham PO15

To be responsible for ensuring that all internal and external customer inbound calls and emails are responded to in a timely manner and in line with departmental procedures whilst maximising all new enquiries and leads from enquiry through to the accurate processing of sales orders.

Key Responsibilities:

• To answer all incoming calls in a timely manner

• To ensure that all enquiries and leads are responded to within timescales set out in company procedures

• To proactively chase and close live enquiries

• To chase existing enquiries with the aim to win or requote

• To acknowledge new sales leads within set timescales and to regularly monitor the Sales Inbox

• To accurately create and process quotations

• Proactively raising any potential issues to the Head of Sales

• Accurate use of the CRM system including logging all activities and to ensure that live quotes are converted to sales orders

• To maintain business acceptable margins

• To ensure all sales orders are processed adhering to the Sales Order Acceptance Procedure.

• All anomalies to be followed, chased and resolved within timescales set working with internal departments to ensure resolution

• Co-ordination of account management activities with the relevant Business Development Manager including organising visits, quote generation and follow up, and resolving account problems.

• Regular follow up of allocated leads and quotations.

• Ensuring that a professional presentation is maintained at all times.

• All paperwork and systems are adhered to with any issues immediately reported.

• The Head of Sales is informed immediately it becomes evident that further materials, support or equipment is needed to safely and reliably complete the function

Knowledge and Experience:

• Understanding of electrical systems or electronics.

• Good presentation skills

• Good IT skills
