Contract: 5-month contract (covering a secondment)
Working Pattern: Hybrid - average 2 days per week on-site, occasionally 3 days

Hays is working in partnership with a local council to recruit an experienced Senior Service Designer to support the Digital Project Team. This role will focus primarily on business-as-usual (BAU) digital projects, helping to design and improve digital services and products.

The Role

You will be working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary Agile team, alongside a Business Analyst and a User Experience Designer, contributing to the design and delivery of high-quality digital services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and improve digital services and products in line with user needs
• Support BAU digital projects across the council
• Work effectively within an Agile delivery environment
• Collaborate with colleagues across digital and non-digital teams
• Engage and communicate with stakeholders at various levels within Birmingham City Council

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Service Designer, ideally at a senior level
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
• Local Government experience is desirable, but not essential.
