Warehouse Operative – Alfreton, Derbyshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join our well-established client based in Alfreton, Derbyshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent hourly rates, overtime opportunities, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a busy warehouse operation.

This role would suit candidates with previous experience as a Warehouse Operative, Picker Packer, Order Picker, Parcel Sorter, or Production Operative.

Shifts Available:

• Sunday – Thursday: 22:00 – 06:00
• OR
• Monday – Friday: 06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00 rotating weekly

Rates of Pay:

Night Shift:

• £16.37 per hour basic
• £25.16 per hour overtime

Rotating Shifts:

• £14.22 per hour basic
• £25.16 per hour overtime

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Picking and packing customer orders
• Processing incoming stock and deliveries
• Restocking shelves and stock rotation
• Completing stock control and inventory checks
• Preparing and packing orders for dispatch
• Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment
• Meeting daily targets and performance standards
• Lifting and carrying items up to 15kg
• Following all health and safety procedures

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Warehouse Operative, you will need:

• A basic level of spoken and written English
• Good reliability and punctuality
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Flexible approach to work
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to meet demanding targets and quality standards
• Must be physically fit and comfortable lifting items up to 15kg
• Ability to pass a basic English and numeracy test

Desirable Experience:

• Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial

Training Provided:

• Full training provided
• Ongoing support throughout the assignment
