The Role

We're supporting a Nottingham-based organisation with the appointment of an Interim Finance Business Partner to provide hands-on, operational finance support. This is a highly visible, on-site role working closely with operational leaders to drive performance, challenge cost, and improve day-to-day financial control.

This is not a strategic or remote role - it requires someone comfortable being in the business, building relationships quickly, and getting into the detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the finance lead to operational and commercial teams, providing day-to-day business partnering
• Deliver weekly and monthly management reporting, variance analysis and commentary
• Support cost control, margin analysis and performance tracking across operational units
• Build and maintain robust forecasts and budgets, translating operational activity into financial outcomes
• Challenge assumptions, identify risks/opportunities and support decision-making at site level
• Improve financial disciplines, KPIs and reporting processes where required
• Work closely with the wider finance team to ensure accurate month-end close and data integrity

Required Experience

• Proven experience as an Interim Finance Business Partner or Senior Management Accountant
• Strong operational business partnering background (manufacturing, logistics, FMCG, engineering, distribution, or similar environments)
• Comfortable working 5 days per week on site and operating at pace
• Highly hands-on - able to own reporting, analysis and stakeholder conversations end-to-end
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge operational stakeholders
