We are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Exeter. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Assist with academic learning, emotional regulation, and social development throughout the school day.
  • Support pupils during transitions and accompany them to off-site activities.
  • Transport pupils to alternative provisions or activities as required, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with children or young people with SEND.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Demonstrated patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach.
  • Strong ability to work effectively as part of a team.
