Reed Education is working in partnership with a thriving all-through academy in Enfield to recruit a motivated and dedicated Science Teacher to join a highly supportive and ambitious Science Faculty.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Early Career Teacher or experienced practitioner to develop their career within a school that places high value on inclusion, academic excellence and staff wellbeing.

The Role

You will teach Science across key stages, with opportunities to teach A Level Biology, Chemistry or Physics, depending on specialism. The successful candidate will contribute to a curriculum designed to spark curiosity, develop scientific thinking and secure strong outcomes for all learners.

The Science Faculty

The Science Faculty is collaborative, well-resourced and supported by experienced leaders and specialist technicians. GCSE outcomes continue to improve year on year, and the Sixth Form offers A Level Biology, Chemistry and Physics, alongside applied science pathways. Many students progress to science-related degrees including medicine, engineering and biomedical sciences.

Facilities include modern laboratories, interactive whiteboards, centralised resources and individual laptops for teaching staff.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Science teaching that secures strong progress
  • Plan engaging, well-structured lessons aligned to the curriculum
  • Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and provide feedback
  • Create a positive, well-managed classroom environment
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental collaboration
  • Support enrichment activities and the wider life of the school
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and the school’s ethos

The Person

You will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science
  • Be committed to high standards of teaching and learning
  • Motivate and challenge students of all abilities
  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Be reflective and committed to professional development
