Job Summary

As an Associate Equity Research Analyst in the Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific (EMAP) Equity Research team, you will focus on the consumer sector, working closely with senior analysts to build models, generate forecasts, and make long-term investments. You'll prepare reports and presentations, communicate with portfolio managers, and collaborate with a global network of analysts. This role offers significant growth opportunities and increasing responsibilities as you develop expertise in emerging markets.

Job responsibilities

• Prepare models, reports, and presentations on consumer stocks, leveraging advanced AI tools.
• Assist in analyzing companies, forming investment insights, and managing an analyst's portfolio of covered stocks.
• Communicate investment ideas and findings with portfolio managers and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with a global network of JPMorgan Asset Management analysts to share and develop research.
• Contribute to the identification and evaluation of investment opportunities in the emerging markets consumer sector.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality in all research and reporting.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Prior equity research experience (strictly necessary), ideally on the buy side.
• Intellectually curious and driven to build insight into businesses.
• Strong interest in emerging markets and willingness to specialize in this area.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines accurately and to a high standard.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with global teams.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience with consumer sector analysis in emerging markets.
• Familiarity with advanced AI tools and financial modeling platforms.
• Additional language skills relevant to emerging markets.
