Reed Finance are delighted to be bringing to the market a fantastic new Head of Finance Opportunity with one of our clients based in the Scottish Borders. This is a key leadership role, acting as the senior finance partner to the site leadership team and playing a critical part in driving financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of financial control, reporting, and planning, while also influencing business outcomes through insight, challenge, and forward-looking analysis. This role offers strong visibility within a global organisation and the opportunity to shape finance processes and performance on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all financial activities for the UK entity, ensuring robust governance, control, and compliance
• Partner with site leadership to drive performance, providing clear insight, analysis, and challenge
• Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes
• Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting (management and statutory)
• Monitor performance against targets, identifying risks, opportunities, and corrective actions
• Support strategic initiatives, including investment appraisals and scenario planning
• Maintain a strong control environment in line with corporate and regulatory standards
• Lead, develop, and coach the on-site finance team
• Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, and ways of working
• Ensure alignment with group finance standards and tools

Candidate

• Qualified Accountant
• Manufacturing experience
• Proven experience in a similar level position
• Commercially Drive with excellent stakeholder influencing skills
