Reed Business Support are recruiting for a Procurement Assistant on behalf of our valued client, based in Sittingbourne. This Procurement Assistant opportunity is ideal for an individual who is confident, proactive, and able to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. As the appointed Procurement Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the wider team and contributing to the smooth running of daily operations.

About the Role:

  • Supporting the procurement function within a manufacturing environment
  • Raising and processing purchase orders in line with production requirements
  • Acting as a key point of contact for suppliers and internal production teams
  • Monitoring stock levels, lead times, and delivery schedules
  • Maintaining accurate procurement records, supplier data, and pricing information
  • Assisting with supplier queries, documentation, and reporting to support cost control and continuity of supply
  • Delivering a professional, customer-focused service to internal stakeholders at all times

About You:

  • Previous experience in a procurement, purchasing, or supply-chain support role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence liaising with suppliers
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and ERP or purchasing systems
  • Proactive, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a structured environment

Salary & Working Pattern:

  • £26,000 – £30,000 per annum
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Office-based with some flexibility on start and finish times
