Conveyancing Assistant - In-House 

Location: Bristol (Hybrid options considered)
Duration:12-Month Fixed Term Contract (ASAP)

Are you an organised and detail-driven Conveyancing Assistant looking to join a busy, fast-paced environment? I’m currently working with a well-established and highly regarded organisation in the property sector that is looking to strengthen its legal team with a proactive and motivated individual.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in supporting a team of experienced conveyancers, ensuring the smooth progression of plot sales from reservation through to completion. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a collaborative, service-focused legal function where your contribution will directly impact business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting conveyancers and senior legal team members with day-to-day conveyancing tasks
• Preparing and issuing contract documentation, including transfers and leases
• Managing internal systems and tracking key milestones (exchanges, completions, etc.)
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and external solicitors to progress transactions
• Handling general administration including post, scanning, and file management
• Ordering property searches and carrying out Land Registry and pre-completion searches
• Assisting with post-completion tasks and archiving files

About You

• Previous experience in conveyancing (residential or plot sales preferred)
• Strong IT skills, including MS Office and online legal systems (e.g. Land Registry, SDLT)
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
• A proactive, “can-do” attitude and willingness to learn and develop
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
