Legal Assistant – Residential Property

The Role
Working closely with experienced fee earners and reporting into senior leadership, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive administrative and business support. Responsibilities will include:
- Drafting and formatting legal documents, including sale contracts, exchange, and completion letters
- Carrying out property-related searches (Local Authority, Land Registry, Insolvency, Compliance)
- Acting as a key point of contact for administrative and operational support within the team
- Supporting the file opening process and ensuring compliance procedures are followed
- Assisting with financial processes, including preparing new matter quotes and transaction documentation
- Managing incoming queries from clients and agents, often acting as a first point of contact
- Anticipating team needs and contributing to the smooth running of daily operations
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate typing skills
- Strong organisational abilities and the ability to prioritise effectively
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Previous experience in a client-facing or administrative role
- Experience within a legal or professional services environment (desirable)
- Familiarity with case management systems (advantageous, but not essential)
