Demand Planner – Responsibilities:

  • Manage demand planning activities for both internal manufacturing sites and external suppliers
  • Produce and maintain accurate sales forecasts using sales data, market trends, customer insight, and commercial input
  • Analyse stock levels and future demand requirements to ensure optimal inventory availability
  • Place and manage purchase orders for finished goods with suppliers
  • Monitor and report on overstocks, slow-moving products, and discontinued lines
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
  • Support onboarding of new suppliers
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Manage supplier queries and disputes professionally and effectively
  • Negotiate commercial terms including incoterms and payment terms
  • Liaise with manufacturers, freight forwarders, customs agents, logistics providers, and warehouse teams
  • Coordinate inbound shipments and ensure stock arrives in line with demand requirements
  • Manage export, international deliveries, and direct container fulfilment
  • Identify stock shortages, excess stock, and inventory risks, taking proactive action to minimise impact
  • Produce reports and analysis for senior leadership and key stakeholder

Demand Planner – Candidate Profile:

  • Previous experience within demand planning, supply chain, inventory planning, or forecasting
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience working with suppliers and international logistics would be advantageous
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Excel and data analysis capability

Demand Planner – Package:

  • Salary – £35,000 – £42,000
  • 25 days holiday + Bank holidays
