We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager to join a well-established business based in Sheerness. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who is confident managing both payroll and accounts functions within a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Processing PAYE, NI, and pension contributions
  • Managing weekly payroll (circa 50 employees) and monthly payroll (10–12 employees)
  • Full responsibility for purchase and sales ledgers
  • Producing accounts up to Trial Balance
  • Supporting month-end processes and ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar accounts and payroll role
  • Strong working knowledge of VAT, payroll legislation, PAYE, and pensions
  • Experience managing high-volume payroll
  • Confident handling both ledgers independently
  • Ability to produce accounts up to Trial Balance
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
