The tax team operates in a fast-paced environment and works closely with senior stakeholders and overseas colleagues, providing excellent technical exposure and long-term career development.


Description

  • Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, taking responsibility for UK tax compliance with senior support
  • Preparing and beginning to review UK tax returns, identifying issues and ensuring technical accuracy
  • Supporting Managers and senior stakeholders on more complex tax returns and advisory matters
  • Assisting with the oversight and development of junior team members, including reviewing straightforward work
  • Managing workflow across your portfolio, prioritising deadlines and coordinating delivery
  • Supporting advisory work for individuals and assisting on more complex tax planning projects
  • Building confidence in dealing directly with client queries and taking on a more front-facing role
  • Collaborating with internal teams and liaising with international offices where required
  • Researching technical issues and developing independent judgement over time
  • Contributing to team development and participating in internal training initiatives


Profile

  • Strong experience in personal tax, with solid exposure to compliance and some review experience
  • CTA qualified or close to completion is advantageous, but not essential
  • Experience supporting or reviewing the work of junior staff
  • Growing confidence working autonomously, with appropriate escalation
  • Exposure to residency, double tax treaties or internationally mobile individuals is desirable
  • Any experience with US tax or international tax matters would be beneficial
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility with clients
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Ambitious and motivated, with a clear desire to progress to Manager level
