The Business We are working with a globally recognised marketing organisation based in Manchester, currently seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their growing finance team. This role plays a key part in maintaining healthy cash flow, ensuring accurate customer accounts, and supporting month-end close within a fast-paced, international environment.
The Role You will be working closely with Credit Control, Billing, and wider finance stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Posting and allocating daily cash receipts across multiple currencies and ledgers
Performing bank, customer, and AR balance sheet reconciliations
Matching invoices and credit notes to ensure accurate customer balances
Investigating and resolving unallocated or misapplied cash
Supporting month-end close activities and AR reporting
Processing write-offs, adjustments, and refunds in line with company policies
Producing AR reports, ageing analysis, and KPIs
Working closely with Credit Control to support collections and dispute resolution
Liaising with internal teams to resolve billing or account queries
Identifying opportunities for process improvement within AR operations

Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable or OTC role
Strong cash application and reconciliation experience
Confident working in high-volume, fast-paced environments
Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
