Learning Support Assistant

Are you looking for a role where you can support others while growing your own confidence and experience? We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work closely with young people, helping them overcome challenges, build self-belief, and find their place in education.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Work 1:1 and in small groups with students who may need extra emotional support, lack confidence in learning, or require a more personalised, nurturing approach.
• Build strong, supportive relationships that foster confidence, independence, and self-esteem.
• Support learning in an encouraging and patient way, helping students regulate emotions and stay engaged.
• Play a key role in creating a calm, positive environment where young people feel safe, understood, and encouraged to succeed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A warm, empathetic, and patient approach to supporting young learners.
• Strong listening and communication skills, essential for building trust and rapport.
• A genuine passion for helping young people thrive in their educational and personal lives.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of students.
• Any experience supporting others, whether formal or informal, is a bonus but not essential.
• English and Mathematics grade C and above or equivalent.
