Description

  • Prepare and manage financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support business decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, and journal postings
  • Full ownership of VAT across the business, including preparation, review, and submission of VAT returns
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Produce and analyse financial reports, highlighting variances, risks, and opportunities
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Manage financial audits and liaise with external auditors when required.
  • Monitor cash flow, ensuring the organisation's financial stability.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to improve business performance.
  • Lead and mentor a small finance team to achieve departmental goals.

Profile

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • A recognised qualification or part-qualified in accounting or finance (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Experience in financial management within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial software - Dynamics 365 Business Central and reporting tools.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a team effectively.
