We are seeking an exceptional Head of French to inspire excellence and ensure every student thrives in French across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role is perfect for an experienced teacher with leadership ambitions or an established subject leader seeking a new challenge. We are looking for someone who can build on the strong foundations already in place and continue to improve outcomes for our students.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Provide clear leadership and direction for the French department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning are at the core of all activities.
• Lead curriculum development, set high expectations, and support colleagues in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Monitor and enhance student progress and outcomes in French.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
• Collaborate with other department heads and the leadership team to align strategies and enhance overall school performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a French teacher with leadership experience or potential.
• Strong ability to lead a team, set clear goals, and motivate staff to achieve excellence.
• Excellent knowledge of the French curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and innovation in teaching practices.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
