Nights Bakery Team Leader

Tuesday - Saturday 0000-0800, must be flexible

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bakery Team Leader to oversee daily bakery operations, ensuring the production of high-quality baked goods in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of food safety standards, and a passion for bakery excellence. This role offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic team within a fast-paced environment, contributing to the continued success of our bakery.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate bakery production activities to meet quality and efficiency standards
• Ensure compliance with HACCP and other food safety regulations at all times
• Monitor and maintain hygiene standards within the bakery area, conducting regular inspections
• Train and mentor team members on food safety procedures, equipment operation, and production techniques
• Oversee the maintenance of bakery equipment, including mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues
• Manage stock levels, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
• Implement health and safety protocols to safeguard staff and product integrity
• Conduct regular quality checks on baked goods to ensure consistency and excellence
• Assist in developing new recipes or product lines in collaboration with the management team

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food production or bakery operations, with previous leadership experience preferred
• Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Excellent communication skills to lead and motivate team members effectively
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail
• A recognised qualification in food safety or relevant industry training is advantageous
