We are looking for a Part Qualified Accountant to join the team on either a full-time or part-time basis. You will support a varied portfolio of sole traders and small businesses, giving you plenty of variety, responsibility, and client contact.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys managing their own workload, building relationships, and being part of a close-knit, supportive team. There is potential to support further education if progressing into professional level.

The Role

As a Part Qualified Accountant, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality accounting services to a broad range of clients.

You will manage your own portfolio, work directly with clients, and take ownership of deadlines and day-to-day accounting queries. The practice uses modern cloud-based systems, so this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a forward-thinking, efficient way of working.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts for a range of clients
• Management Accounts, VAT returns, Bookkeeping etc
• Managing your own client portfolio and associated deadlines
• Supporting clients with day-to-day accounting queries
• Building and maintaining strong long-term client relationships
• Working with cloud-based accounting software including Xero, FreeAgent, QuickBooks and similar platforms
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and in line with relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Providing a professional, approachable, and reliable service to clients

About You

We are looking for someone who is confident, organised, and comfortable working directly with clients.

You will ideally have:

• Part qualified status: AAT, ACCA, ACA or equivalent
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
• Strong experience preparing accounts
• Confidence managing your own workload and deadlines
• Experience using cloud accounting systems
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• A reliable, detail-focused, and proactive approach
