SEN Learning Support Assistant - September 2025 Start
Location: Various Primary & Secondary Schools across Bridgwater
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30 (Paid for 6.5 hours per day)
Pay: £13.84 - £16.31 per hour (PAYE or Umbrella options available)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Prospero Teaching is recruiting for SEN Learning Support Assistants across both primary and secondary schools for the upcoming academic year. We are inviting passionate, dedicated, and experienced individuals to apply now and secure a role for a September 2025 start.

Role Overview:

As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs (SEN)
• Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Support students with emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction
• Assist with classroom activities and promote independence

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD)
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
• Right to work in the UK
