You will be working in the Building Services OU based in London in where we are responsible for creating healthy workplaces and efficient facilities that improve people's lives. Through collaboration and innovation, we deliver high-quality solutions that make a lasting, positive impact for people and communities.

We are currently looking for a Commercial Assistant who will will assist with the organisation and administration of commercial and financial aspects on the project/Tender Bids.

As the Commercial Assistant, you will:

  • Assist / be responsible with timely detailed reporting to Project Commercial Lead/ Commercial Manager on a section or whole project.
  • Assist with providing site measurement and records.
  • Assist / be responsible with control of cost, value, cash management, change and risk on a section or whole project.
  • Assist with and monitor the procurement of Materials, Plant, Equipment and Sub-Contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with Skanska standards and procedures in respect of commercial activities.
  • Involvement in the preparation and maintenance of Risk & Opportunity schedule.

We are looking for:

  • Relevant commercial experience preferably with a contracting organisation - Quantity Surveying Apprenticeship or Graduate Programme.
  • Achieved or working towards degree or equivalent level qualification in Quantity Surveying or related construction subject.
  • Relevant CSCS Card &/or SMSTS.
  • Experience of Oracle or equivalent.
  • Experience of working directly with client representatives.
  • Data interpretation and reporting.
  • Problem solving and analytical capabilities.
