Insurance Technician

We are looking for an Insurance Technician to join a growing company in Birmingham.

This is a full time hybrid role based in Birmingham with 2 days a week in the office and salary ranges from £24k-£28k.

This role is supporting the underwriting team to deliver high-quality technical administration, data processing and ensuring policies, invoices, endorsements, bordereaux and claims data are compliant, accurate and processed efficiently and quickly to underwriters.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and allocate quotes and support the underwriting teams with accurate policy administration
  • Dealing with premiums, billing and reconciliation
  • Underwriting support
  • Claims and servicing (when required)
  • Governance, controls and compliance

Experience / Skills required:

  • Experience in insurance operations or technical administration within an insurer, MGA or broker (ESSENTIAL)
  • Experience with policy administration systems, PowerPoint excel (lookups/pivots) and document control
  • Strong attention to detail and a history of processing data
  • Experience in life insurance, Lloyds/London Market would be advantageous
  • CII qualified or willingness to work towards it.
