Interim Hard FM Supervisor (M&E)

We’re looking for an experienced Hard Services Supervisor (Mechanical & Electrical) to join the Property Services team within a local authority. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the corporate estate, supporting essential public services across the borough.

This is a hands-on supervisory role, overseeing the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse portfolio including offices, community buildings, and operational sites.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Supervise the delivery of hard FM services, including M&E, HVAC, and building systems maintenance
• Manage and monitor contractors and service providers, ensuring performance against SLAs and KPIs
• Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations and health & safety standards
• Support the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes
• Oversee reactive maintenance and ensure timely resolution of issues
• Carry out site inspections, audits, and quality checks across the estate
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to support service delivery

Experience and knowledge required:

• Proven experience in a Hard FM / M&E supervisory role
• Must have IOSH qualification
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC
• Good understanding of statutory compliance (e.g. H&S, gas, electrical, water hygiene)
