About the Role

We are currently supporting a specialist school in Essex with the recruitment of an Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive school environment, providing therapy to children and young people with a range of additional needs.

Caseload

You will be working with pupils with:

• SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
• Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
• A range of additional SEND needs

The role involves supporting students to develop independence, emotional regulation, and functional life skills within an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions
• Develop and implement individualised therapy plans
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals
• Support pupils with sensory, motor and emotional regulation needs
• Contribute to EHCP targets and reviews
• Provide advice and training to staff and families where appropriate

Requirements

• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
• Experience working with paediatric caseloads
• Experience within SEN / SEMH settings is highly desirable
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
