Our client is a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Solihull, currently looking to welcome an experienced Tax Senior to join their friendly and supportive team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in personal tax who enjoys building client relationships and is looking for a varied role with both compliance and advisory responsibilities.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing your own portfolio of personal tax clients while supporting on a variety of tax-related projects and advisory work. The client base is diverse and includes business owners, landlords, directors, and high-net-worth individuals.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and submitting Self-Assessment Tax Returns
  • Completing and submitting P11Ds
  • Assisting with Making Tax Digital (MTD) reporting
  • Preparing Capital Gains Tax computations and returns
  • Liaising with clients to gather information and answer queries
  • Communicating with HMRC on behalf of clients
  • Supporting with advisory projects, disclosures, and trust/estate-related work
  • Keeping up to date with current tax legislation and compliance requirements


About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a tax-focused role and be confident managing their own workload and client portfolio.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Around 3+ years’ UK personal tax experience
  • Experience working with a range of private clients and owner-managed businesses
  • Knowledge of Self-Assessment returns and P11Ds
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive and client-focused approach
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • ATT, CTA, ACA/ACCA or STEP qualification (or part-qualified and continuing studies)

Experience with trusts, estates, advisory work, or CCH software would be advantageous, but is not essential.
