Paraplanner

Newcastle upon Tyne

£35,000 – £45,000 (DOE)

Full-time | 9am–5pm | 1 day WFH available

Are you a detail-driven Paraplanner looking to step into a genuinely client-focused, holistic planning environment?

We’re working with a highly regarded independent financial planning firm in Newcastle who are looking to add an experienced Paraplanner to their growing team.

This is not a transactional advice business — the firm specialises in full financial planning, working closely with clients who have been through a structured advice journey. Their approach is built on long-term relationships, high-quality advice, and doing the right thing for clients every time.

An ideal opportunity for a career Paraplanner or would like to progress into advising in the future.

The Role

You’ll join a collaborative “pod” setup, working alongside an Adviser, Associate Adviser, and Administrator to deliver a seamless client experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing detailed suitability reports and financial planning recommendations
  • Carrying out technical research across pensions, investments, and protection
  • Supporting client reviews and ongoing planning work
  • Liaising with providers and managing client data
  • Ensuring all work is compliant and of a high standard

About You

  • A minimum of 18 months experience in a similar role.
  • Diploma in Financial Planning (Dip PFS) – highly preferable.
  • Experience in a Paraplanner position within financial services / wealth management
  • Strong technical knowledge and report writing skills
  • Ideally experience within a holistic financial planning firm (though not essential)
  • Highly organised, analytical, and team-oriented

Systems

  • Platforms: Fundment, Transact, Aviva (desirable)
  • CRM: Intelligent Office (beneficial but not essential)

The Firm

  • Boutique, independent financial planning business
  • Small, close-knit team (approx. 10 employees) with a strong “family feel” culture
  • Structured team model to ensure support and collaboration
  • Focus on quality over quantity — no pressure to rush or cut corners

What’s on Offer

  • Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (DOE)
  • 26 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing with service)
  • 5% matched pension (increasing with service)
  • 1 annual wellbeing day
  • Flexible wellbeing benefit after probation (e.g. gym membership)
  • Office-based role with flexibility to work from home 1 day per week
  • Opportunities to progress

Why Apply?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a firm where:

  • You’ll be valued as part of a team, not just a number
  • The focus is on doing high-quality, meaningful work
  • You can develop within a supportive and professional environment
