A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and ambitious individual to join a leading manufacturing and engineering business as a Ultrasonic Operator.

This role offers the chance to build a long-term career within a highly specialised inspection and quality environment, working within advanced manufacturing supplying critical components into highly regulated industries.

Full in-house training and support will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop technical skills within engineering, quality, inspection or NDT (Non-Destructive Testing).

This role is on shifts. 

The Opportunity

As a Ultrasonic Operator, you will learn how to carry out ultrasonic testing and inspection processes on forged products using advanced automated and semi-automated immersion inspection techniques.

You will work alongside experienced technicians and gain exposure to industry-leading inspection methods, quality systems and customer standards, with opportunities to develop professional certifications and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and apply ultrasonic inspection techniques on forged components
  • Assist with automated and semi-automated immersion testing processes
  • Support calibration of inspection equipment in line with customer and internal specifications
  • Maintain accurate inspection and quality records
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications and inspection documentation
  • Support audits including customer and BSI audits
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping
  • Work collaboratively within a skilled inspection and quality team
  • Participate in continuous improvement and 5S activities
  • Assist experienced technicians with inspections, reporting and problem solving

Desirable
  • Previous manufacturing or engineering experience
  • Any exposure to inspection or quality processes
  • Ultrasonic Inspection Level II Certification (not essential)
