A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and ambitious individual to join a leading manufacturing and engineering business as a Ultrasonic Operator.
This role offers the chance to build a long-term career within a highly specialised inspection and quality environment, working within advanced manufacturing supplying critical components into highly regulated industries.
Full in-house training and support will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop technical skills within engineering, quality, inspection or NDT (Non-Destructive Testing).
This role is on shifts.
The Opportunity As a Ultrasonic Operator, you will learn how to carry out ultrasonic testing and inspection processes on forged products using advanced automated and semi-automated immersion inspection techniques.
You will work alongside experienced technicians and gain exposure to industry-leading inspection methods, quality systems and customer standards, with opportunities to develop professional certifications and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities - Learn and apply ultrasonic inspection techniques on forged components
- Assist with automated and semi-automated immersion testing processes
- Support calibration of inspection equipment in line with customer and internal specifications
- Maintain accurate inspection and quality records
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications and inspection documentation
- Support audits including customer and BSI audits
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping
- Work collaboratively within a skilled inspection and quality team
- Participate in continuous improvement and 5S activities
- Assist experienced technicians with inspections, reporting and problem solving

- Ultrasonic Inspection Level II Certification (not essential)
