Location: Northeast Nottingham
Salary: £30k - £40k - DOE, excellent benefits package including parking
Contract: Permanent - Part time - flexible on hours (21 up to 30 hours per week)
Reporting to: Finance Manager

Overview

Reed Accountancy are working exclusively with our client, a highly reputable organisation based in Northeast Nottingham. They are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to support the efficient management of cash flow and customer accounts. The role will be responsible for end-to-end credit control activities, ensuring outstanding balances are collected in a timely manner while maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full credit control cycle, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations
  • Proactively chase outstanding debts in line with agreed payment terms
  • Ensure accurate and timely allocation of cash receipts
  • Investigate and resolve billing queries and disputes efficiently
  • Maintain accurate customer ledgers and records
  • Monitor aged debt, credit limits, and exposure, escalating issues where appropriate
  • Support month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Produce regular debtor reports and commentary for management
  • Build effective working relationships across the wider business to support cash collection

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in a credit control role of 2 years 
  • Strong understanding of credit control processes and best practice
  • Confident communicator
  • High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet deadlines
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence using finance systems
  • Professional, resilient, and customer-focused approach

Desirable

  • Experience working in a fast-paced or complex finance environment
  • Exposure to query resolution and stakeholder management
