SEN Teacher – Specialist Unit

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our specialist unit, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by delivering tailored, engaging learning experiences that enable every child to thrive.

You will be working with pupils with needs such as autism (ASD), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH), speech and language needs (SLCN), or complex learning difficulties, within a supportive and collaborative environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
  • Developing and reviewing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants and specialist staff
  • Building strong relationships with parents, carers and external agencies
  • Creating a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress to ensure the best outcomes
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
  • A strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Patience, resilience and a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Experience in a specialist setting (desirable but not essential)
