Financial Controller

Location: Preston

Salary: Up to £65,000

Qualification: ACA / ACCA / CIMA

We are seeking a Financial Controller to lead finance operations for a £15m turnover site, operating within a PE-backed group turning over £100m+. This is a high-impact role offering site autonomy while benefiting from the strength, scale, and pace of a growing group environment.

The Role

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take full ownership of site-level financial control while partnering closely with operational teams to drive performance and profitability. You will also manage and develop a small finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Full ownership of management accounts, budgeting and forecasting
• Detailed variance analysis with clear insight and recommendations
• Business partnering with operational teams to drive profit and efficiency
• Stakeholder management across site and group level
• Ensure compliance with UK GAAP
• Lead, coach and develop a team of 2
• Support continuous improvement and commercial decision-making

About You

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager
• Strong background in management accounting and commercial finance
• Confident working in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment
• Naturally collaborative with the ability to influence non-financial stakeholders
