Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading manufacturer in Barnsley who are looking for a proactive Shift Quality Inspector to join their Technical and Quality Assurance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong eye for detail and a passion for quality to play a key role in ensuring their products meet the highest standards and our customers’ expectations.

You’ll work closely with production teams to monitor quality performance, investigate issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Please note, this role is on a rotating shift covering days and nights. 

• Carrying out quality inspections and tests in line with defined standards and quality plans.
• Monitoring production results to identify trends, non-conformances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Supporting production supervisors with investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Raising and managing non-conformance reports (NCRs) where required.
• Assisting with product and process trials, ensuring all results are accurately recorded.
• Inspecting and controlling non-conforming product during rework or regrade operations.
• Supporting external audits and maintaining accurate, legible quality records.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety in all work areas.

• Previous experience in a quality or inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive and analytical mindset.
• Confident using measuring tools and Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
