Oaklea Complex Care Unit is a specialist service within Ashlea Court Care Home in Ashgill, South Lanarkshire, providing high quality, person centred care for individuals living with complex conditions, including dementia. The unit offers a calm, structured and supportive environment focused on dignity, wellbeing and meaningful daily living.
Activities Coordinator
Role Overview
As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a varied and meaningful programme of activities that supports the wellbeing of residents living with complex needs and dementia.
You will plan and organise both group and one to one activities, ensuring each interaction is tailored to individual preferences, abilities and care plans. Your role will focus on encouraging engagement, promoting independence and creating positive daily experiences for residents.
Working closely with the care team and families, you will ensure activities are inclusive, purposeful and aligned with residents’ emotional, social and cognitive needs. Your approach will help maintain a calm, supportive environment where residents feel valued, stimulated and connected.
Your contribution will play an important role in enhancing quality of life, bringing enjoyment, structure and reassurance to each day.
