An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paraplanning Manager to join a growing and ambitious financial planning business. This is a key leadership role within the organisation, offering the chance to shape and develop a high-performing paraplanning function while supporting the wider growth of the business.


This position would suit an experienced paraplanner with leadership experience, or a senior paraplanner ready to step into a management role, who is passionate about developing people, improving processes and delivering high-quality technical support to advisers.


The Role

As Paraplanning Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the paraplanning team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant and timely support to advisers and clients.

You will act as a technical point of reference for complex cases, lead training and development initiatives, and work closely with senior stakeholders to enhance team performance and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

• Manage and support a team of paraplanners on a day-to-day basis

• Identify training and development needs across the team

• Create and implement development plans to enhance technical capability

• Support recruitment and onboarding of paraplanning staff

• Lead by example and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture


Technical Oversight

• Act as a subject matter expert across all paraplanning functions

• Provide guidance on complex and advanced technical queries

• Ensure case work is completed accurately, compliantly and within agreed timescales

• Support advisers with technical case preparation and planning strategies


Process Improvement

• Review and improve paraplanning workflows and operational processes

• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and service quality

• Work alongside senior leadership to support wider business growth and objectives

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the department


About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Level 4 Diploma qualified as a minimum

• Significant paraplanning experience within financial planning/wealth management

• Previous management or team leadership experience, ideally within paraplanning

• Strong knowledge of the UK financial advice and regulatory environment

• Experience supporting a range of client types and case complexities

• Excellent technical knowledge across pensions, investments and protection

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• A process-driven mindset with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
