Axon Moore is delighted to be partnering with a large, successful distribution business experiencing significant growth and continued investment in its national Health & Safety function. Due to internal promotions and expanding operational demands, we are supporting the recruitment of 4 Health & Safety Advisors to join their established team.

The Role
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a key role in supporting sites and operational teams across the region. This is a hands-on, varied position where you’ll be out on sites, building relationships, advising teams, and helping to drive a positive safety culture.
A company car is provided, and you should be comfortable with regular travel and overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and communication of the company Health & Safety Policy
  • Provide day-to-day H&S advice to branch and operational teams
  • Assist with delivering H&S training and maintaining accurate training records
  • Review CAPEX proposals to identify potential H&S risks
  • Monitor and support the completion of Risk Assessments, ensuring actions are followed up
  • Lead independent project work to develop best-practice H&S processes
  • Collect and report key H&S risk indicators
  • Conduct site visits and ad-hoc assessments, identifying hazards and recommending controls
  • Carry out Fire Safety Risk Assessments and inspections
  • Contribute to policy reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support the central management of the Operator Licence and associated documentation
  • Assist with Operator Licence visits and coordination
Skills & ExperienceEssential:
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight stays
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently
Desirable:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally within logistics, distribution, or industrial environments
  • Good understanding of H&S legislation and risk assessment processes
