Trainee Financial Adviser (Paraplanner Adviser Pathway)

Earley

£45,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)

Salaried position + discretionary bonus

Ready to step into advice — with the right support and no need to self-generate clients?

If you’re a Paraplanner who enjoys the technical side of financial planning but is now ready to move into an adviser role, this is a rare opportunity to do that in a structured, supported way.

You’ll initially join in a paraplanning capacity as part of an orientation phase, allowing you to get to grips with the firm’s processes, clients and approach — before quickly progressing into an adviser role with full support.

Client Overview

This is a highly respected, fully independent financial planning firm known for delivering genuinely holistic, whole-of-market advice built on long-term client relationships.

The team is close-knit, collaborative and well-structured, with dedicated paraplanning and administration support allowing advisers to focus on clients.

Each adviser typically manages around 80 clients, ensuring relationships are meaningful, manageable and never volume-driven.

We’ve placed into this business before, and feedback has consistently highlighted the culture, structure and long-term progression on offer.

This role would suit a Diploma-qualified Paraplanner, ideally working towards Chartered, who is ready to take the next step into advice.

Role Details

  • Starting in a paraplanning/orientation phase, supporting advisers with technical research, report writing and financial planning.
  • Working closely with three experienced advisers, gaining exposure to client relationships and advice delivery.

  • Building relationships with clients early on, supported by the wider team.
  • Progressing quickly into leading client meetings and delivering advice independently.
  • Gradually inheriting a portfolio of clients as part of a structured transition into an adviser role.

This is a genuine pathway into advice, designed to help you build confidence, technical understanding and client relationships at the right pace.

Benefits / Details

  • £45,000 – £60,000 salary depending on experience.
  • Discretionary bonus scheme.
  • 6% pension contribution.
  • Private medical insurance and life cover (DIS).
