Candidates who are available before September may be considered for an earlier start.This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who benefit from a smaller, structured learning environment, designed to support children with autism and additional needs while maintaining links to mainstream education.The Role:Working as part of a dedicated SEN team, you will provide tailored support to pupils who require a consistent, nurturing approach to learning and behaviour.Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils with autism (ASD) on an individual and small-group basis
• Delivering targeted support within the specialist provision, with planned access to mainstream lessons
• Reinforcing routines, structure, and positive behaviour strategies
• Helping pupils develop communication, social skills, and emotional regulation
• Assisting with learning activities adapted to individual needs and EHCP outcomes
• Supporting transitions throughout the school day
• Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
• Recording observations and contributing to pupil progress discussions
• Supporting with personal care where required (training provided)

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience supporting children or young people, ideally within SEN, SEND, or school settings
• A patient, consistent, and empathetic approach
• Confidence supporting pupils with autism and associated needs
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• A passion for inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
• Teaching Assistant qualifications (Level 2/3) are beneficial but not essential
