An exciting opportunity is available for a Consumables Procurement Coordinator to join a busy and fast-paced operational team. This role is key to ensuring the smooth flow of materials, supporting production continuity, and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with regular suppliers via email, phone, and in person
  • Ensure consumables are delivered, booked in, and available to support operational workflow
  • Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory within the MRP system
  • Identify critical consumables and ensure continuity of supply
  • Use MRP/SAP systems to forecast demand in collaboration with planning and manufacturing teams
  • Progress outstanding orders and resolve delivery issues
  • Handle invoicing and goods receipt queries to support timely payments
  • Compare supplier pricing and lead times to achieve best value and service
  • Respond quickly to urgent requirements to prevent disruption
  • Manage shelf-life items and ensure stock rotation is controlled
  • Support supplier onboarding processes where required
  • Work with internal teams to improve systems, processes, and reporting tools (e.g. SOPs, databases, Power BI)
  • Collaborate with Health & Safety teams to ensure compliance with product and regulatory standards

About You

  • Proven experience in a procurement, supply chain, or coordination role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with MRP/SAP systems and data analysis (desirable)
  • Knowledge of master data management and reporting systems (desirable)
  • Confident using Microsoft Office tools
  • Proactive, resilient, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
